Familial CJD is a rare (about 1 in 10,000,000 worldwide) and 100% fatal brain disease. If you are interested in helping, please donate to the University of California San Francisco - Memory and Aging Center. UCSF is the ONLY place in the U.S. that conducts research, clinical trials, and provides treatments for CJD. https://makeagift.ucsf.edu/ . Please make the gift/pledge to the (designate) "Brain and Nerve Disorders" and the "Memory and Aging Center" fund, and in the name of (no first) "The Wheeler Family" (last name field).
Do not forget to check with your employer to see if they will match your contribution, for many employers now days will match employee contributions to good causes.
Louis - About Me
I was born on February 12, 1943, in Duluth, Minnesota, and am the youngest of three children. I considered myself a farm boy, and I had the large worn hands to prove it! :) I was an outdoorsman; one who respected the earth and everything living on it.
I was married to a woman named Connie for nearly 10 years, retiring together in Oregon in 2005.
On this wonderful Earth I left four beautiful children, Dawn, John, Michelle, and Tammy, and six wonderful grandchildren, Dustin, Tyler, Kayla, Collin, Ethan, and Aidan.
